Pernand-Vergelesses - Clos de Bully

Pernand-VergelessesClos de Bully

100% Pinot Noir

The vineyards of Pernand-Vergelesses are on a very hilly area. They stretch over the slopes in between the hills of Aloxe Corton and Savigny-les-Beaune. In the village of Pernand-Vergelesses only six plots are classified as red Premiers Crus: les Fichots, en Caradeux, Creux de la Net, Iles des Vergelesses, Les Vergelesses, and Les Plantes des Champs. This locality is one of the oldest vineyards of Burgundy. It was planted in 1158 by the monks of the Abbaye de Maizières on a limestone marl soil.

Lovely dark garnet color with a beautiful shine.
Good aromatic intensity. The nose is very fresh with notes of small red and black fruits on a mineral and smoky background (marl limestone).
Well delineated, fresh and fruity on the palate. Good structure and balance, the tannins are present but fine.
Persistent finish ending on the fruitiness and mineral freshness.
